How To Write A Dating Profile That Attracts High Quality Women

Dating Profile That Attracts High Quality Women

When you’re online dating, you can either have a dating profile that attracts high quality women …or one that can leave you hearing crickets when no one responds to your messages.

Ouch! That’s not a position you want to be in.

If you’re new to online dating or don’t feel like the whole thing should be easier your profile probably needs a major facelift.

Especially if you just whipped it together in five minutes. Or worse…

You didn’t write one at all!

I have six professional tips on how to write an online dating profile that attract high quality women.

How to Write a Dating Profile that Attracts High Quality Women

Tip #6 – Grab Her Attention

The first step to attracting a woman is to get her to notice you.

When you’re dating online, the competition is fierce!

As a woman myself, I know that the influx of messages from men on these sites is extremely overwhelming.

Some women will get from 40 to 50 or even more messages a day!

In order to increase your chances that she’ll message you back your profile must be interesting and grab her attention.

One way to do this is by starting with a huge blatant lie. Something like:

Let’s get right down the basics. I started a billion dollar tech company when I was 20 and then sold it to travel to Tibet to live like a monk…

Ok not really, but I did start a tech company in my 20’s and now work for myself full-time.

Something like that is really out of the box and will pique her interest enough to continue reading.

On dating apps, being “different” is your best chance at success.

Tip #5 – Be Specific

Another way to be different in your dating profile is to be very specific.

There’s no one in this world like you and your uniqueness is what makes you such a great catch!

You’ll need to make sure this comes through by talking about specific qualities, experiences and hobbies.

So saying that you “love to travel” is a huge yawn fest. Everyone loves to travel, there’s nothing interesting about that.

Instead, say you love travelling to exotic beaches or you love exploring the cobblestoned streets of a new city.

Mentioning specific moments is even better. Saying something like:

One of my favorite things to do in my free time is travel. I’ve been to 24 countries and my next stop is Iceland. I hear the food is to die for and the landscape is jaw-dropping.

Traveling is something I live for. I’ve done everything from relaxing on the beach to touching a real shark while scuba diving!

Tip #4 – Use Wit and Humor

If you’re having trouble with online dating, the quickest way to turn around results is to up the wit.

When women are looking for a potential match they nearly always want a partner who is funny.

Women love it when a man can make them laugh because humor is one of the easiest ways to start building chemistry.

The best place to put in a witty comment is when talking about the boring aspects of your profile.

A commonly boring part of your profile is your job. You can spice things up like so:

My days are spent crunching the numbers at an accounting firm. I’ll spare you the intricate details for our first date 😉

A joke like that works well because it shows her that you have a good job, but that you’re also fun and won’t be boring on a first date.

Funny comments or jokes should be added in throughout the entire profile.

Tip #3 – What’s In It For Her?

Throughout your profile, you want to paint mental pictures so that she can see herself in your life.

For example. Let’s say that you like biking. Saying “I like biking” is really boring. Instead, say something like:

I like going for a bike ride up to the top of Mt. Clairmont. The sunset is beautiful and there’s even a little bench to enjoy the view.

Something like that gives her a clear mental picture of what it might be like to be your girlfriend.

She can probably see herself biking up there with you and sharing a nice moment on the bench.

Tone Down The “Guy” Hobbies

There are plenty of women out there who love cars, sports or video games… but many, many, women don’t like these things.

If all your hobbies are traditionally “male” hobbies, this can be a deterrent for a woman reading your profile.

Women don’t want to date men who are just going to sit on the couch watching football and then move over to play World Of Warcraft.

If rebuilding cars is your life passion definitely mention it, but phrase it in a way that looks fun for her.

Something like:

In my free time, I rebuild old Cadillacs or work on other car projects. Working on projects is fun but not as fun as going for a drive through the country with some lovely company 😉

You’ll also want to highlight any hobbies you have that are more commonly liked by women. Things like yoga, travelling, hiking etc.

Tip #2 – Stay Positive

Nobody wants to date a Negative Neil!

Complaining or saying negative things on your profile are a huge turnoff.

This includes things like:

“My pet peeve is people who walk too slow” or “I don’t like women who get caught up in drama” .

These just show that you’re a negative person.

You might be tempted to include these types of things on a profile so that you can “weed out” emotionally damaged women or that won’t match your personality.

But all that really does is weed out the positive and happy women that like to have a good time.

You want your profile to make her feel happy.

Like she can’t wait to travel with you, talk to you and hang out with you.

You never want to make it seem like you’re a complainer who has a negative attitude.

Tip #1 – Tell Her To Message You

At the end of your profile, describe the ideal woman you’re looking for and then tell her to message you.

Doing this will increase your response rate because if a good match is reading she’ll want to send you a message.

The key here is not to get too specific when describing the woman you’re looking for.

Here is an example of too specific:

If you’re a woman that works in the medical field, works out five days a week and can’t wait to travel to the Maldives, send me a message!

Even though that may describe your perfect woman, anyone that doesn’t fit that description will avoid messaging you.

This will limit your chances of success and could stop you from meeting a really amazing woman.

Instead, pick a couple of generic traits that are important to you, and highlight them at the end. Here is an example:

So, if you’re passionate about something and enjoy exploring new places, send me a message.

This shows that you want someone who is doing something they love in their life and has an interest in travel.

You’ve highlighted two important things and many women will feel they fit this.

Here’s another example:

If you’re a woman that loves learning new things and challenging the status quo, send me a message.

This will attract someone that is more a rebellious intellectual.

As her a question!

Another way to encourage that she message you is to end your profile with a question for her.

This works really well on dating apps like Bumble where women need to message men first.

Here are some examples of questions to ask at the end of the profile:

So tell me, what is your favorite vacation spot?

But enough about me, what’s your favorite way to relax?

This makes it really easy for her to start a conversation with you.

I hope you found this guide on how to write an online dating profile that attracts high quality women helpful.

If online dating isn’t working for you, it’s likely the result of your profile.

By applying the tips outlined above to draft a dating profile that attracts high quality women and you will improve your response rate significantly!

Great tips Anna. To improve ones chances…is it advisable or a hinderance to create profiles on many dating sites? Can they all read the same or should they all be different.

Only go with as many sites as you can reasonably manage while still having a life. Alter your profile according to the site: sites that require more info to set up can have slightly longer profiles than sites that require next to nothing. Women are also on different sites so if a woman sees you on more than one, give her something slightly different to evaluate.
